I’m not going to use this blog—at least today—as a soapbox on how I think you should act after killing a deer. Instead, I’m simply going to let you witness the pure joy experienced by a young man nicknamed Big John as he finds the second deer he ever killed; it had been 7 years since he shot his first.
Note: Big John has a mental disability, but that doesn’t stop him from hunting with his dad, or being heavily involved in all sorts of other activities. Check this out: Big John was featured on a local TV news story when his high school basketball team, for which John serves as manager, let him suit up and take the floor.
And Big John, if you happen to read this blog, I sure hope I can post another one of your deer videos in the future. Congrats on a great deer!
Until next time . . .
