I’m done too. Can’t deal with yet another overly confusing format change.
Y’all e-mail me at WattsDefarbs@gmail.com and let me know where we all end up.
It’s been a pretty fun site and I have had good times here for 12 years but the time has come to let go of the NAHC BB at least until they make it what it once was.
To all my friends that I will never chat with again, you all hold a special place in my memory. To my nemises on here, I cede you the last word and hope you do well in life.
Until we meet again…September 24, 2013 at 7:25 am #4448
Many of us are already at the Everyday Hunter site, set up by TLC a few years ago, and also at the Friendly Hunter site set up by silverbullet about 6 or 7 months ago. Also, a few of us can be found at bear03′s Disabled American Sportsmens site, on Hunt Talk, and Deer and Deer Hunting’s site.
As I predicted a few months ago, the NAHC isn’t really interested in keeping the old members around, and this change proves that point.

Point is, being a life member they already have our money! Therefore the probability of them listening to us can be flushed down the shitter and……….

I am using a different operating system today, can not even resister on my system at home, site says it is out dated, should up grade via this site to newest windows. Not buying a new operating system just to chat.September 25, 2013 at 10:12 am #4664
With Shiloh leaving we now are left without his many years as a graduate of the Colorado School of Trades Gun Smith as well as his many years of actual experience of hands on gun smith work. The school itself is the premiere school of it’s kind and people come from all over to attend there. With Shiloh having worked at different businesses that sell guns along with is vast experience with black powder firearms due to his involvement with Civil War Re-enactors we have lost his knowledge and his willingness to help with the many problems that members have as well as his keeping us all updated on various firearms and their problems/recalls/dangers so I hope that those who have been here as long as both myself and he realize that you need to make sure you have his contact info.September 25, 2013 at 10:49 am #4676
Well, it looks like this site is being deleted from my favorites. I find this site hard to negotiate, and extremely slow.
To those I won’t run into again, thanks for your insight, knowledge and bs over the years. To those I do run into again, I’m looking forward to it.September 25, 2013 at 1:07 pm #4680
I guess times like this is why I have never gotten the life membership. I know over the years it would have been cheaper, but I can still protest with my wallet. It is a real shame that the long time threads such as Shilohs civil war reenacting and the war between the states are archived and cannot be added to. I am glad I had the chance to meet Shiloh and “put on the blue suit” He will be greatly missed. I will look around here once and awhile, but when my dues are up for renewal, aint gonna happen. I remember when we lost Pawclaws. It’s just a darn shame that people who added so much info to this forum, had those threads sent over to the archived section to be forgotten with time. I know Todd went to a extreme amount of work to move the WBTS thread over the last time this happened.September 25, 2013 at 5:48 pm #4746

Dang CK, ya already upgraded from a Hawkins to a Sharps… What the hell more do they want???September 25, 2013 at 6:05 pm #4749
Looks like NAHC will loose members again.September 26, 2013 at 1:54 pm #4839
This new improved site reminds me of the Dixie Chicks, (a perfect example of not knowing your customer base) The core customer that used the forums did not want to need to upgrade to the latest system to post on the forms. I can’t log in at home, but I can at the library. I guess I need an upgrade that I don’t want or need with anything else I do with my puter. This site might be good for some young techno geek, but for us old fellers, it is a complete failure.September 26, 2013 at 2:14 pm #4849
Eagle, I see you managed to get registered and back on. I hope the info I gave you helped.
Ckell, and 45 Hawkin, send Member Services an e-mail about your problems. Chad will probably get in touch with you in a reply, asking for your member number. He can then solve your access problem. When I first registered I had problems getting my membership synced with this new BS site and couldn’t get into my account. I sent the e-mail and he got in touch and fixed everything…………to the point the IT people have solved some of the issues. Also, to set up your avatar, you have to go to the old “my page” on the social pages side; but the IT people still don’t have the “remember me” feature fixed, and no signature line or preferences options are available, yet.
