QUESTIONS for the WEBBY..
It seems that the forum is locked for new posts.. so I will ask them here and see if a response is obtained:
The back button only works intermittently, is this being addressed. I know it came up in the original ask the Webby Forum.
Can the color scheme be addressed. The light blue on blue is difficult on these old weary eyes.. See attachments.
I do not know if others have this issue, but the LOGIN BUTTON, does not work for me at home or at work. I need to go into the FAQ, then My Acct to log in. Also, it would be nice if these icons were at the top and not constantly in my viewing/reading pane.
Can the “GO TO LAST UNREAD” option be added back to the forums? This was nice to know if there were new posts to forums you randomly follow. I do not want emails for every new addition.
Can the contests be changed so that members do not have to click through 3 pages to enter? With the site being slow this is frustrating.
Can you get rid of the operating system message. I only need to see it once. At least an option for not having the message show again once it is viewed.
That’s it for now… Thanks in advance…

I have been getting those as well. I have also been getting onto a Hunting Club webpage that is strange looking and very basic format. What is this ? How does it show up when clicking on the address logging on ? Back button issue for me is still not working.November 17, 2013 at 9:23 am #9117
Did the same people who designed the O Care site have some sort of deal on the 10 year old technolegy that they also sold to NAHC as well???
Some of you are saying the back ground has change, the background I see no longer has the guy with the ski poles, he disappeared just like the woman on the O Care site. Hmmmmmm?????????????
As SNL said about the O Care site, is this site also only designed to handle 6 users at a time as well Hmmmm??????? Slow to load Hmmmmmmm????????

I have tried very hard to be the voice of reason here and encouraged others to give this new change a chance before passing judgement. Well I have now lost my patience as this am every time I try and access or post to any forum I keep getting the internal server problem message. I am now going to take a break and think about whether I will continue to try and use this site or not. Being a LM I don’t have any leverage to try and get anyone’s attention but I do know that there are a few who like myself are on the fence and with this latest SNAFU could very well be the end for the lot of us. I visit a couple of other sites that were free to join and they not only work but work much better than this one does. I simply do not understand the powers that be and your lackadaisical attitude toward the members especially the LM’s who have stuck with this club through several of these upgrades. If you would take the time to listen and actually hear what is being said you just might survive but with word of mouth being the best advertisement the same can be said for the best for bad service. I’m sure that many try the 30 free trial and then join on a yearly basis but with the word now going out to steer clear it may take a while but eventually you will start to see the finances going down. Just a word of warning before it gets to be to late to save this place.November 18, 2013 at 10:12 am #9148
Yep the site down message is becoming more frequent than it ever was in the past. Over the weekend, it actually happened on every instance when I tried to access the site…………a minimum of 5 or 6 times per day going back to last Thursday. It’s also gotten slower when it does come up! I’ve noticed that even on the facebook page, the membership numbers are about 300,000 fewer than six months ago. So did that many members die, fail to renew, or just give up and quit due to the problems? Here on the site, the old 850,000 member number is down to less than 15,000 active users and I’m only seeing about 20 or so names on a regular basis………….when I can actually gain access!!!!!!! If the goal of the company was to eliminate participation in order to close down the site based on lack of member use, then it’s being successful.

Big Dawg, it seems to be alot about the advertisements. But also I have tried differant brawsers, each loads the site in differant ways, and displays it in differrant ways. I have noticed that I can get on, without problems somtimes, but if I delete my history and cookies I have problems. My security program blocks some as harmful, which effects the down load. I am not sure just howmany bites are in one packet, but there are some 7-10 packet involed in downloading the site. They want tthe advertisements to be seen, so they must be downloaded the open and use the site. Any problems with servers along the way, yours theirs and others along the way. Not every packet goes through the same server, they are all over place, so with with so much info bouncing through differant servers, pieces of info gets lost or slower than others. Pieces needed to complete the download are slow or lost causeing time outs and errors. Cookies , tracking or other wise for or by advertisers to know who and how many view their ads, sheer amount of info they have piled into and on the site, cause problems with servers the site has no control over.November 18, 2013 at 8:32 pm #9169

Do we have any lawyers in the group? ( I was going to say “crowd”, but , it’s hardly that these days ) Maybe it’s time for a class action to get all of the dues back. This web site should be considered a breach of contract. It’s supposed to be available 24/7. With all of the time it shows down for maintenance, it should be fixed . Maybe we have the same developers as Obamacare. They are working so hard fixing the healthcare site, they have no time left to undue the damage here.November 20, 2013 at 4:12 pm #9238
pcrannel, I got so pissed off with trying to get here today, that I went to the facebook page and made the suggestion that if they can’t fix this damn site, it’s because they don’t want to keep it operating. I also told ‘em either fix it or shut the sum beitch down and be done with it, since it’s obvious they want to force the members to utilize the fb page instead of this site. I went further and demanded something be done or that they could very well be faced with a class action lawsuit. So far, of course, I haven’t received a reply of any type.
BTW, I couldn’t get here from my book marked page, nor from going to hunticlub.com on a browser search. The way I did finally make it was on the browser search I found “Log in” and clicked on it. That took me to a site that is used to recruit new members; but it also provided the old log in method of entering user name and password. Once I did that it took me to some guy’s social page where I clicked on “forums” and all of a sudden my user name popped up and I was here on the new site’s forum page with all of the new site crap including the pictures and the left hand tab with my avatar, My Page, My Account, Share Hunter circle, Logout, and Sponsered by Smith& Wesson. Then I was able to actually get the Misc. Forum to open up. Now it will be interesting to see if my post will go through without the site going down, and if I’ll be able to open any of the other forums and threads!!!!!!!!

Once I finally got here I bookmarked the forums page, and have been using that instead of the home page link.
For now that is working for me, but the site is now slower than I’ve ever seen it. Considering that when I started coming here back in 08 I was using dial-up, that’s saying something about the current performance of this site!!!November 21, 2013 at 12:48 am #9245
Like BD, I didn’t want to beatch and snivel. figured, new foremat, lets give’um a chance to work out the bugs!! However, my patience is also wearing very thin! This is the first time I have been able to get onto the forum, for longer then a couple of minutes, with out it “Going down for maintance” or “error 500″ or “error 502″, or some other crap, in the past 4 days!! YUP, my patience are wearin’ mighty thin!

I had been trying to get back to the forums , from time to time, for over 12 hours. This is just ridiculous. everything on the site is getting slower. I grit my teeth every time I click on something requiring a page to change. I expect to see one of the many error messages.
