Once I get on here, I find out that I don’t exist! No access to my account, since I’m not a member………..I’ve only been a Charter Member since 1977 when the NAHC was begun, and a Life Member since 2000; but I can’t even send a PM to member services, because I DON’T EXIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the biggest fustercluck since Obama stole the damn White House!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Rthomas, what happened when you first signed up? Did you get the page to link your accounts? I will send you a PM, and we can get it synced that way. Your PM’s will appear in that top bar on the right, just to the left of “Welcome”.September 23, 2013 at 7:37 pm #4320
Mine also says that I’m not a member. And then gives me a message that I’m using illegal Blah,Blah, Blah. That I need to renew….
BTW, got an e-mail this A.M. that another member sent me a message. Can’t find it. Must be in file 13September 23, 2013 at 7:45 pm #4322

State threads??? The last post in the Minnesota archived thread was from a friend that I’ll be Grouse hunting with soon… He threw a jab at me that was only partially correct… I didn’t get a chance to correct him… Tho I will soon. BTW, I met that friend, several members of his family, as well as a few of his friends threw the old Minnesota forum on this site.
Signature lines??? I had more than one member here tell me that my old sig line brought a smile to their face.September 23, 2013 at 8:49 pm #4328
I’m with Lunkerdog on the state threads. Those have been critical for a lot of us who have met local hunters and made lifelong friends there over the years.
If they exist on the new forum, I haven’t found them yet. I hope you haven’t eliminated them. If so, you’re gonna lose a lot of people real fast.September 23, 2013 at 9:13 pm #4329
Good points guys! The old state threads are still archived, but we will add new state threads as well!
I added your states to startSeptember 24, 2013 at 7:11 am #4445
Yet another “improvement”? There is just no endto the way you There is just no end to how you people can frig things up. What exactly did this “fix”? All of the active threads are gone. I didn’t even see New York listed in the states. Of course, I could have missed it. They don’t seem to be in any logical order. GREAT JOB !!! Maybe I’ll check back in a few weeks to see if anything works yet.September 24, 2013 at 3:58 pm #4537
Are you going to make it we can post picture from our photo sites like flikker or photobucket????September 24, 2013 at 9:20 pm #4600
Man has this site hit rock bottom….Thru the years I have seen a lot of changes on here, by far this is the worst……Too many other places to share and ask questions on hunting and firearms…..Good luck with the NEW website……September 24, 2013 at 10:42 pm #4621
We need to give them time to get everything implemented. I recall it taking them quite a while on the last few changeovers.
While I’m relieved we now have the state forums, I was pretty concerned last night.
The WA forum is where we keep everyone updated on our NAHC Get Togethers every year. We’ve been doing them for 10 years now and they’ve always been really successful, but it would be really difficult to keep them going without the WA forum.
I see we can only link to a pic hosting URL to post pics at this time.
Will we eventually be able to upload them directly like we did on the old site?September 25, 2013 at 6:56 am #4626
i agree with the rest of these guys. i am a life member for 20 yrs and i think your new format sucks. go back to the old ways. harder isn’t always better . mag2640September 25, 2013 at 7:27 am #4630
Keymaster writes” We wanted to pull in all the old posts, but that would have meant sticking to that platform, and not being able to enhance those features. We really do have the opportunity here to make this community what the members want it to be…”
Hey GENIUS, I’m going to hoist the BULLSH-T flag on you! I’ve been a life member for over 20 years and I have never seen a single post where a member has expressed “Hey this site is working pretty smooth. How can we totally SCREW IT UP?”
What possible improvement do you think there is? Ongoing discussion are now gone. New accounts are required. The forums, not to mention the rest of the sites, are not even set up the same. It took a member to prompt you to bring back the state pages! DUH!!! It is much slower than it was. CHANGING SOMETHING SIMPLY FOR THE SAKE OF CHANGING IT IS UTTERLY STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1September 25, 2013 at 2:27 pm #4699
keymaster, There are probable many like me who have seen no need to get the latest and greatest windows version, and browser. And see no need to do so just to post on here. You need to make the site compatible with the older browsers and not the other way around. I kind of like the Magazine, or I would not have renewed and like the debates or as LD says discussions but the slower things get and the less old timer friendly this site gets the more you will loose, maybe you are hoping for more younger people, but the fact remains the older hunters being a lot to the table as far as knowledge on many levels and areas.September 25, 2013 at 4:09 pm #4730
ckell, we aren’t asking anyone to upgrade Windows in fact I’m still on Windows XP from 2002. All we’re asking you to upgrade is Internet Explorer which is a free download. I know the site is slow but it will get better.
Flags, I know it’s a pain in the neck to re-register we needed to upgrade because our old platform was very limiting and our new platform will allow us to grow and create more functionality that will improve your experience on the website. Further, you now have the ability to participate in field testing, powered by StuffStuff, all in one place on huntingclub.com. I think you’ll come to like the site as we correct some issues and we get the speed up to par.
Elkaholic- Yes, eventually you will be able to upload photos. we can’t right now because we turned them off until the site speed issue is corrected.
