Great Gift Idea For Father's Day

Great Gift Idea For Father's Day

Do you have someone on your Father's Day gift list who has everything he needs? Instead of buying him another tie, or sleeve of golf balls, I have a much better idea.

Believe it or not, even in this digital-is-everything world, books are not dead. And I recently came across one title that's sure to please anyone with a sense of outdoor adventure.

"Bush Flying Captured" features the amazing photography of Rich Hulina, and throughout the 168-page, full-color hardcover book you'll see crazy-cool pics (more than 200!) of bushplanes from Canada and Alaska. The pages take you on a journey to beautiful and remote hunting and fishing locations with some very memorable and hardworking aircraft.

From a floatplane spotted sitting on a tranquil, hidden lake occupied by only a single outpost cabin, or a bushplane flying among the jagged peaks of a snow-capped mountain on its way to moose camp, each of these machines has a story to tell.

Father's Day (June 15) is approaching fast. I'm ordering my copy of Hulina's book today as a way of saying thanks to the man who started me on a lifetime of hunting and fishing . . . my dad.
